NIMHD Comprehensive Centers of Excellence (P60): -Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), solicits grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose to establish an Comprehensive NIMHD Center of Excellence (COE) to support infrastructure and capacity building, building and sustaining novel partnerships, research training, innovative basic biomedical and behavioral clinical, or population-based research and intervention and prevention studies contributing to either the improvement of minority health, the elimination of health disparities, or both. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the P60 comprehensive center award mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total amount expected to be awarded in FY 2012 is $24-28 million and the anticipated number of awards are 16-18. For this funding opportunity, budgets up to $950,000 direct costs per year and time periods up to five years may be requested.
