Natural and Cultural Resource Interns: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This is not a request for applications. This provides public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a task agreement under a previously awarded cooperative agreement. Youth Interns interested in developing expertise in resource management will work closely with Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve (JELA) staff on projects in two high-priority program areas, (1) implementing environmental monitoring and flooding response assessment at the Barataria Preserve Unit to inform JELA's adaptive management decisions, and (2) supporting an archives digitization project to provide online access to the park's historical archives and cultural collections. Because JELA Resource Management staff collaborates on major public events and volunteer projects, interns will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of federal resource stewardship work. Please see attached Full Announcement for more information.
