OIA Insular Management Controls: The Department of the Interior's Office of Insular Affairs is soliciting project proposals for its Insular Management Controls (IMC) program which is intended to assist insular area governments implement financial management improvements. IMC grants are not meant to supplant local funding of routine operating expenses of an insular government or organization or to be used for construction-related activities such as renovations. IMC grants may not be used to fund the salaries of local government employees, but may be utilized to provide temporary short term expertise. IMC projects which address/rectify current Federal audit findings and which improve processes necessary to remove high risk status will be considered highest priority.
