Opportunity USDA-NRCS-AKSO-10-01: DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTUREAGENCY: Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Commodity Credit Corporation ACTION: NOTICE Conservation Innovation Grants Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Announcement of Program Funding(APF) for Alaska NRCS Statewide Conservation Innovation Grants Program. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is announcing availability of Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. This notice announces the availability of up to $215,000 of Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) funds during FY 2010 for the NRCS Statewide CIG Program. Applications are requested from eligible governmental or non-governmental organizations or individuals for competitive consideration of grant awards for projects between 1 and 3 years in duration and may not exceed a maximum of $ 75,000 each. The State Conservationist reserves the right to not fund any or all proposals. These funds are in addition to up to $25 million dollars of CCC funds that may be available for application from the national CIG grants program. PROPOSAL DUE DATE AND ADDRESSES: Pre-proposals must be received at the NRCS Alaska State Office by Close of Business Alaska Standard Time (AKST), on June 4, 2010. Full Applications: Project pre-proposals selected for funding consideration by NRCS will be notified by July 9, 2010, and if requested, a full application must be submitted to the NRCS Alaska State Office by Close of Business Alaska Standard Time (AKST), on August 6, 2010. This notice identifies the objectives for CIG projects, the eligibility criteria for projects, andprovides the instructions needed to apply to CIG.
