PPHF- 2014 - National Falls Prevention Resource Center Financed Solely by 2014 Prevention and Public Health Funds (PPHF-2014): Through this funding opportunity, the Administration on Aging (AoA), part of the Administration for Community Living (ACL), plans to award one two-year grant to a domestic public or private non-profit entity. The grant would be funded at approximately $400,000 for Year 1 and, subject to available funding, approximately $400,000 for Year 2. The purpose of this grant is to establish and support a National Falls Prevention Resource Center that will work collaboratively – on behalf of the public, aging services network, and other stakeholders – to accomplish the following goals and objectives: Goal 1: Increase public education about the risks of falls and how to prevent them. Goal 2: Support and stimulate the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based community programs and strategies that have been proven to reduce the incidence of falls among seniors.
