PRM NGO Projects in Thailand, Bangladesh and Malaysia: Limited funding is available to support NGOs working with UNHCR in Thailand, Bangladesh and Malaysia in support of Burmese refugees. Priorities for Thailand include: a) Improve access to quality health care services, including reproductive healthcare, with a particular emphasis on the health and nutritional needs of children under five and pregnant and lactating women; b) Improve camp water and sanitation and other environmental infrastructure, including protection and development of the water resource in Mae La and in the host villages in Tak Province; c) Improve the quality of life of refugee populations by addressing their psychosocial needs and developing income-generating activities, with an emphasis on the development of skills and vocational training to achieve a measure of self-sufficiency and a reasonable livelihood; and d) Strengthen the community's capacity to prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and better respond to the health, psychosocial, safety and justice needs of GBV survivors. Priorities for Bangladesh will be given to proposals that promote a holistic, district-wide approach to both registered Rohingya refugees living inside the two official refugee camps, Kutupalong and Nayapara, and unregistered Rohingya and local Bangladeshi host population living outside of the camps. Priorities for Malaysia include healthcare, education and Gender-Based Violence prevention and response.
