Palestinian Urban Public Parks Initiative (PUPPI): RFA SYNOPSIS PALESTINIAN URBAN PUBLIC PARKS INTIATIVE (PUPPI) USAID/West Bank and Gaza (USAID/WB&G) will be inviting applications for a Cooperative Agreement to implement a program to rehabilitate, expand or improve existing public parks, or create new parks in neighborhoods throughout the West Bank and Gaza. USAID/WB&G anticipates awarding one Cooperative Agreement for approximately $1.99 million, subject to the availability of funds, for a period of one year. The objective of the Palestinian Urban Public Parks Initiative (PUPPI) program is to finance the rehabilitation, expansion or improvement of existing parks, or create new parks throughout the West Bank and Gaza. The program is designed to respond to the urgent need for public parks. The PUPPI program will thus have multiple benefits by creating much needed infrastructure and providing long-term social benefits to the selected communities. The program is intended to be constructed despite constrained access/mobility, and to involve the beneficiary community as much as possible in the planning, implementation, and long-term maintenance plans.
