Patient-Centered Outcomes Research -- Dissemination by Health Professionals Associations (PCOR-DHPA) (R18): Purpose. This FOA supports innovative educational methods to disseminate patient-centered outcomes research. Mechanism of Support. This FOA will use the AHRQ Research Demonstration and Dissemination Projects (R18) grant mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. AHRQ anticipates allocating up to $2.5 million annually for three years to this FOA. AHRQ anticipates funding 25-50 awards, depending on their approved budgets. Awards issued under this FOA depend upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research may vary from application to application, AHRQ anticipates that the size and duration of each award may also vary. The total amount awarded and the number of awards depends upon the numbers, quality, duration, and costs of the applications received.
