Poison Control Stabilization and Enhancement Program: The overarching goal of the Healthcare Systems Bureau Poison Control Program is to improve access to quality poison control treatment and prevention services for residents of the United States and its territories. - 1. Eligible Applicants Awards under this grant program are limited to U.S. poison control centers (PCCs) including those serving the U.S. territories. Financial Stabilization Grants - PCCs must be certified by a professional organization or a State government with, at a minimum, equivalent standards as the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC). Certification Grants-Non-certified PCCs, designated by the State, or newly-established PCCs applying for the purpose of becoming certified must demonstrate an ability to become certified within a reasonable time frame (before the expiration of the grant application or the five-year period). To be eligible for a certification grant, a non-certified PCC must receive a waiver of certification. A non-certified PCC shall receive no more than five waivers of certification resulting in no more than five years of certification grant funding. A third year of funding will be available to certification grantees which complete the certification process within the first two years of the project period.
