Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Biological Informatics: The Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO) offers Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Biological Informatics to recent recipients of the doctoral degree for research and training in developing and using computational, statistical, and other tools in the collection, organization, dissemination, and use of information to solve problems in biology. The research and training plan of each fellowship is expected to address important scientific questions in contemporary biology and include a strong linkage between computer, information, and computational science and biology and develop and/or apply state-of-the-art informatics tools or approaches to the stated problem. Fellows who accept a tenure-track position following the fellowship may apply for research starter grants.
