ProRanger Philadelphia Program: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement. Cooperative Agreement Number P14AC00l54 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and Temple University for the purpose of providing educational and work opportunities to young people so that they can gain a better understanding and appreciation of the NPS natural and cultural resources and its mission of protecting America's natural treasures. The program's primary goal is to recruit and train students who represent the diversity of the American people for this hands-on educational opportunity that can prepare them for law enforcement careers in public lands. The educational and work opportunities are designed so the youth can gain a better understanding and appreciation of the NPS natural and cultural resources and the importance of protecting America's natural treasures. The outcome of training these college students in law enforcement, public outreach and conservation principles will be to build stronger relationships, improve dialogue with the public and increase the public trust and also expand the public's knowledge of the nation's resources.
