Proteciton, Preservation, and Collection of Paleontological Resources at Joshua Tree National Park: Objectives of this Cooperative Agreement are: To survey, inventory, characterize, document and collect paleontological resources on JOTR lands. Characterization should include type and nature of paleontological resources, location and distribution, association with various lithologies and other information as appropriate. To prioritize paleontological localities for protection and preservation. To develop and assess alternatives for protection, preservation, and collection of paleontological resources on JOTR lands. To collect, document and preserve paleontological resources on JOTR lands in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies guiding NPS management and natural and cultural resource compliance.
