RFI: Advanced Biomass Feedstock Logistics Systems: This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. DOE will not pay for information provided under this RFI and no project will be supported as a result of this RFI. This RFI is not accepting applications for financial assistance or financial incentives. DOE may or may not issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) based on consideration of the input received from this RFI. DOE is issuing this RFI to obtain input from all interested stakeholders and the research community regarding efficient strategies and technologies for reducing the delivered cost of lignocellulosic biomass, increasing industry-accessible biomass volumes, and ensuring input quality specifications required by a variety of biorefinery processes are met. This area is considered extremely important to achieving the 2022 biofuels goals for the Biomass Program under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA, 2007). Responses to this RFI must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format and attached to an email addressed to [email protected] no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on November 21, 2012.
