Rail Operation Improvement Research: FTA is seeking research proposals for improving the effectiveness of rail transit operations. Improving Capital and Operating Efficiencies is one of FTAs five Strategic Research Goals. Under this goal, FTA has set forth objectives to identify solutions to control operating costs and identify methods and technologies to improve transit operational efficiencies. FTA seeks applications for research on innovative technologies or practices that will support the achievement of these goals or objectives
