Recovery Act - Licensure Portability Special Initiative: The primary purpose of the Licensure Portability Special ARRA Initiative is to provide support for State professional licensing boards to carry out programs under which licensing boards of various States cooperate to develop and implement State policies that will reduce statutory and regulatory barriers to telemedicine. The Licensure Portability Special ARRA Initiative is authorized by Section 330L of the Public Health Service Act and Title XIII of Division A of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5.
