Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Aging Among Adults with Serious Mental Illnesses: The purpose of the RRTCs is to achieve the goals of, and improve the effectiveness of, services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act through well-designed research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities in important topical areas as specified by NIDILRR. These activities are designed to benefit people with disabilities, family members or caregivers, rehabilitation service providers, policymakers and other research stakeholders. The purpose of this particular RRTC is to generate new research-based knowledge on aging among older adults with long-term serious mental illnesses. This new knowledge will include evidence-based information on services, practices, programs, and policies that promote positive health and function and/or community living and participation outcomes among this population. NIDILRR plans to make one grant under this opportunity in FY 2023. The grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.
