Research Resource Center to Build an Open-Access Repository and Database for Anatomical and Physiological Correlates of Acupoints (U24, Clinical Trial Optional): The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) intends to solicit applications for one research resource center to build an Open-Access Repository and Database for Anatomical and Physiological Correlates of Acupoints. This FOA will support the development and maintenance of a repository and database for commonly used acupoints along with key anatomical specifications and other relevant parameters as well as integration with other databases with physiological correlates. The ultimate integrated database should be suitable for data from human subjects in an open-access and searchable format. A parallel repository and database for an appropriate animal is also desired. This FOA will utilize a cooperative agreement funding mechanism, U24, to support the development and maintenance of the repository and database to serve the research community. The repository and database should select high quality research data and aim to bring transformative values to support rigorous research on acupuncture-related interventions, which may also benefit evidence-based clinical practices and education.
