Research Using Subjects From Selected Type 1 Diabetes Clinical Studies (Living Biobank) (DP3): This Funding Opportunity Announcement invites applications for ancillary studies that use subjects enrolled in (or screened for participation in) the Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet clinical trials network, or for ancillary studies that use subjects enrolled in the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT)/Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications (EDIC). Studies are expected to generate scientific discoveries on disease mechanisms, disease pathogenic processes, and biomarkers of disease progression or clinical responses of type 1 diabetes and its complications.This FOA is not intended to fund clinical trials with endpoints for clinical efficacy (including but not limited to C-peptide preservation.)
