State Donor Registry Support Program: The intent of this grant program is to enable States to develop and implement a statewide organ donor registry or to make improvements to an existing statewide donor registry in order to maximize its effectiveness. In either case, States must work in collaboration with all organ procurement organizations with service areas in that State and representatives of the eye and tissue banks in that State.

- Additional Information on Eligibility: An eligible applicant is a unit of State government that is submitting an application on behalf of a consortium, as defined below under Section III.1.b. Consortium. Eligible States are those states that do not have a statewide registry and those that have a statewide registry that needs improvement. Each eligible State may submit only one application. For purposes of this grant program, the term State refers to any of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Eligibility criteria for FY 2007 grant program is broader than that for the FY 2006 in order to permit enhancement and improvement of existing registries in addition to development of new registries.
