Strengthening Local Democracy in Southeastern Europe: Cross-Border Cooperation and Reconciliation: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for an Assistance Agreement from an organization/consortium for funding of the subject Program. The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. The purpose of the initial award is to support the comprehensive reconciliation and conflict prevention precepts outlined in the Human Rights and Democracy Working Table I of the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe. Subject to the availability of funds, USAID intends to award a single cooperative agreement and to provide approximately $1,180,000 in total USAID funding to be allocated over the three?year period from approximately December 2003 through December 2006.
