Tailoring HIV Curative Strategies to the Participant (UM1 Clinical Trial Not Allowed): The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to support the development of clinical research platforms that will enable future clinical trials to determine whether combinations of HIV cure strategies can be effective when optimally tailored to the participants. The ultimate goal is for the results of such proof-of-concept clinical studies to inform the development and prioritization of more broad-based curative strategies that will be effective in all people living with HIV. This NOFO will support multidisciplinary teams to conduct coordinated basic and pre-clinical research to profile participants intact, rebound-competent HIV reservoirs and immunologic backgrounds and use that information to develop and test combinations of HIV curative approaches that are specifically tailored to those participants.
