Additional Information on Eligibility
USAID envisions that the following types of organizations will be eligible for submitting comments on the Parameters Paper: Nonprofits with or without having a 501(c)(3) status with IRS; higher institution organizations; as well as non traditional partners in the private sector. For profit organizations are also eligible, however, if interested, they will have to agree on not charging profit since USAID anticipates that the resulting instrument will be a Cooperative Agreement under which profit is prohibited. Also, it is important to emphasize that although participation of a variety of entities is desired, USAID anticipates granting one regional award with a unified management structure capable of engaging in commercial and non-commercial activities throughout the CAM region.
