The State Physical Activity and Nutrition Program (SPAN): CDC announces the availability of fiscal year 2023 funds to implement CDC-RFA-DP23-2312: The State Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) Program. Funding will support activities at the state and local governmental levels to implement evidence-based strategies and leverage resources from stakeholders and sectors (e.g., agriculture, transportation, education, business, commerce, and housing) in their populations of focus related to poor nutrition and physical inactivity. This NOFO will fund recipients to work with state and local partners to improve nutrition and access to safe physical activity, including breastfeeding, early care and education, and family healthy weight programs. No more than one applicant from a state will receive funding.
