The U.S./Pakistan Professional Partnership Program for Journalists: ECA is seeking proposals for the "U.S./Pakistan Professional Partnership Program in Journalism." This program will bring working broadcast and print journalists from the two countries together to develop cross cultural relationships and develop professional skills that will positively impact people's lives and will result in stronger ties between the two nations. The Bureau expects funding in the amount of approximately $1,800,000 to be available for the program and expects to award one grant in this competition. "The U.S./Pakistan Professional Partnership Program for Journalists" will involve approximately 60-70 Pakistani journalist and approximately 30-40 American journalists in a program designed to demonstrate journalism skills, offer professional development opportunities, and offer internships at U.S-based media outlets for Pakistani journalists.
