Training Course on Environmental Laws and Alternative Dispute Resolution: The Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) will award a cooperative agreement to support an ongoing training effort that will educate community residents on how environmental laws and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques can be used to promote environmental justice in their communities. The environmental justice training program focuses on opportunities, legal rules, and tools that community residents have under environmental laws to protect their health, the health of their families and neighbors, and their environment. The environmental justice training program will be designed to help non-lawyer citizens understand how they can use the law and work effectively and constructively with non governmental organizations, the private sector, and the government to promote environmental and health protection.
