Training program for Alumni of Online courses: The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to organize and manage a Train-the Trainer program for selected English language teachers in India. The program will have three distinct phases. In the first phase, the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy will select an American trainer and 24 alumni from our E-teacher courses for a three-day face-to-face program. The organization that is awarded this cooperative agreement will be responsible for organizing all travel and logistics for this three-day program to the training site. In the second phase, each participant will submit a small proposal to conduct a teacher training workshop in their home regions. The organization awarded this cooperative agreement will distribute the scholarship funds for these small projects. The organization will be responsible for receiving the proposals, distributing the scholarships and ensuring all reports are complete. Finally, in the third phase, a two-day evaluation program will be offered for the same group of participants. This will be organized after they have conducted their regional trainings and within approximately a year of the implementation of the first program. Again the organization awarded this cooperative agreement will need to arrange all travel and logistics for this final phase. We strongly encourage non-profit organizations and academic institutions that have specific expertise in implementing professional development programs for English teachers to apply for this opportunity.
