Tribal Water Policy: The recipient's goal is to establish a tribal leader council comprised of elected tribal leaders regarding water resource management issues. This council will facilitate the collaboration of tribes with other water resource management agencies. The long-term objectives are to establish a Tribal Leaders Water Policy Council; broaden tribal leader participation in water policy and collaborate with federal, state and regional water resource management bodies; strengthen tribal capacity through improved access to information and analysis on water management.
