U.S. Embassy Guatemala-PAS Annual Program Statement: Preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate the long-term sustainability of the project, in-kind and/or in-cash financial commitments from other funding sources, and impact the evaluation components. · Reduce irregular migration to the United States · Expand good governance · Improve citizen prosperity · Increase citizen security · Press freedom and countering disinformation · Promote rule of law Activities that address one of the following specific themes are especially of interest; however, other themes that support one or more of the goals listed above will also be considered: · Promote citizen participation in a democracy · Combat corruption and impunity · Promote gender equity · Promote social inclusion of marginalized populations · Increase educational linkages with institutions in the United States
