USAID/Armenia Public Private Alliances: ANNUAL PROGRAM STATEMENT (APS)APS GDA-111-04-004PUBLIC PRIVATE ALLIANCESIssuance Date of APS: January 2, 2004Closing Date: December 31, 2004This program is authorized in accordance with Part I of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 as amended.United States Agency for International Development in Armenia (USAID/Armenia) invites interest from prospective partner organizations to form public-private alliances to carry out activities in support of USAID/Armenia?s international development objectives. Alliance partners are expected to bring significant new resources, ideas, technologies, and/or partners to address development problems. Partners could include a wide range of organizations such as: foundations, U.S. and non-U.S. non-governmental organizations (NGOs), U.S. and non-U.S. private businesses, business and trade associations, international organizations, U.S. and non-U.S. colleges and universities, U.S. cities and states, other U.S. Government agencies, civic groups, other donor governments, host country governments, regional organizations, host country parastatals, philanthropic leaders including venture capitalists, public figures, advocacy groups, pension funds and employee-welfare plans, etc. Successful proposals will bring at least a 1:1 resource matching (with at least 25% of total funds coming from private sector sources) to focus on priority development activities within USAID/Armenia?s manageable interest.The dollar value limit for individual proposals or for cumulative awards made under this APS is a minimum grant threshold of $50,000 and a maximum grant threshold of $750,000. The actual number of awards under this APS is subject to the availability of funds up to $3 million, and viability of proposals received.
