USAID/Namibia Key Populations - Strengthening Technical Assistance and Response for Sustainable HIV Prevention and Treatment (KP-STAR) Activity: The purpose of USAID/Namibia's “Key Populations - Strengthening Technical Assistance and Response for sustainable HIV prevention and treatment (KP-STAR)" activity (hereafter referred as the Activity) is to reduce the incidence and mitigate the impact of HIV among key populations (KPs) in Namibia. The Activity aims to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among KPs in Namibia by implementing a comprehensive package of services in line with the National and WHO guidelines for KPs led interventions. These activities are expected to involve KP communities themselves, such as KP-led organizations and associated health services – both private and public. The supported packages of services will be context specific, tailored to the needs of the individuals in the context of Namibia. While significant progress has been made to date, USAID aims to support approaches that are systematic, coordinated, data-driven, and KP community-led efforts aimed to significantly curtail new infections. USAID/Southern Africa and USAID/Namibia are planning to hold a pre-application conference in Windhoek, Namibia, scheduled for June 24, 2019. The specific time and venue in Windhoek will be provided to registered attendees. Please see the full Notice of Funding Opportunity, which is provided as a PDF under the "Related Documents" tab, for more information.
