Uzbekistan Education Reform: This proposed activity will support Uzbekistan's ambitious efforts to reform and modernize the education sector and ensure that the human capital demands of the country are met through the provision of high-quality basic education service delivery. This activity will apply scientific, technological, and innovative approaches and engagement with a diversity of partners, including the higher education community. Overall, the activity will work closely with the Ministry of Public Education (MOPE) and the Government of Uzbekistan (GOU) to identify, select, and support targeted interventions in primary and secondary schools, or clusters of schools, throughout the country. These interventions will result in improved student learning by transforming the way schools are managed, teachers are trained, instruction is delivered, and learning materials (traditional and ICT) are developed and utilized. The Activity will also develop methods and strategies to increase transparency and accountability in schools and improve school management and service delivery.
