Veterans Reentry Publication: As a center of learning, innovation, and leadership that shapes and advances correctional practice and public policy, the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) has worked to address the critical needs of justice-involved veterans and the corrections professionals who work with them. This fifth and final publication in the Veterans Compendium Project will focus on reentry for justice-involved veterans. Since 2012, NIC has worked diligently to cultivate relationships at the local, state, and federal level, along with non-profit and veteran service organizations, to develop resources to improve practices for agencies that work with veterans in their populations. These resources continue to have a significant effect on criminal justice agencies at all points of the continuum of justice. This effort will provide the field with one final document from the NIC compendium project and a resource to assist criminal justice agencies with the reentry process throughout the criminal justice system.
