Yellowstone Frontcountry Youth Work Projects: The National Park Service will utilize eight MCC crewsâ¿¿5 young adult crews and 3 youth crews to work a total of 13 weeks and 3 1-day middle school service projects on frontcountry projects in Yellowstone National Park (Park) from June 5 through October 6, 2017. Crew information. Note: Project start and end dates may vary slightly depending upon weather conditions, park priorities, project availability, and the intensity of the fire season, but no crew will start before June 4 or after September 30, 2017. Projects include, but are not limited to: painting and staining - signs, trash cans, picnic tables, bridges, boat docks, and buildings; replacing bumper logs in parking lots; repairing and building fences; log work; removing trees and brush from roadways, near buildings, and in housing areas; trail work and maintenance; cleaning rock walls; removing old asphalt in parking lots; campground and picnic area rehab work; removing social trails; and collecting native seed for re-vegetation projects.
