Youth Leadership Intake at SAGA: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service (NPS), intention to fund the following project activities without competition. Specifically, SCA is responsible for the following: 1. Work with SAGA to develop summer youth intake program, including identifying best practices in creating a career exploration internship model that supports and uses the unique resources of the park, and analyzing outreach and mentoring approaches that will support recruitment and learning opportunities for diverse youth at SAGA 2. Recruit, appoint, and place up to three qualified individuals who are acceptable to SAGA for the SCA positions as listed above. 3. Provide round-trip travel (when applicable) at the beginning of their assignment and return them home at the end of their assignment. 4. Provide transportation for the Interns 5. Provide housing and orientation/mentoring for the interns 6. Provide a uniform and/or clothing allowance including shirts and nametags for Conservation Leadership Interns 7. Facilitate completion of background clearances as required by the NPS.
