Youth Perform Cyclic Maintenance on Ruins at ALPO: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement. Master Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00012 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and Citizens Conservation Corp of West Virginia (WVCCC) to conduct projects and programs that strenghtan and revitalize communities; provide self-esteem, educational enhancements and employment opportunities through meaningful work experiences for yourth and adults; and conserve, develop and enhance natural resources. The project will contribute to critical natural and cultural resource management and maintenance projects on the 1830's Allegheny Portage Historic Railroad Trace, Levels 6 through 10 which extends from Cresson, PA to Duncansville, PA parallel to 'Old' Route 22. This segment of the trace includes maintenance of the Historic Engine House Foundations and structures (ruins) of Level 8 & 9.
