15.670 Adaptive Science: The mission of Science Applications is to identify and provide information needed to conserve natural and cultural resources in the face of landscape scale stressors through a multidisciplinary program that supports coordinated actions among management agencies, conservation organizations, communities, and other stakeholders. The conservation goals of Science Applications includes providing support for resource conservation planning. Science Applications in the region will focus in part on the new Arctic Refuge purpose for oil and gas exploration and development. This focus will be about responsibly developing these resources while balancing the other purposes of the refuge. This will balance the priorities of DOI with the conservation mission of FWS.
