Administrative Supplements to Promote Research Collaborations on Fusion Oncoproteins as Drivers of Childhood Cancer (Admin Supp): This Administrative Supplement funding opportunity announcement is part of the Cancer Moonshot initiative to accelerate cancer research, and was developed in response to a recommendation from the Blue Ribbon Panel of experts charged with advising the National Cancer Advisory Board on the exceptional scientific opportunities that could be accelerated through this initiative. Based on the recommendation to intensify research and form highly dynamic and collaborative networks of investigators to advance our understanding of fusion oncoproteins as drivers of childhood cancers, this FOA supports supplemental funds to current NCI-funded research projects for new interdisciplinary collaborations to perform research within the scientific scope of the parent grant that will lead to better understanding of the mechanisms of action of fusion oncoproteins as drivers of childhood sarcomas, brain cancers, and high risk leukemias.
