Alcohol Tolerance: Contribution to Consumption (R21): -Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, National Institutes of Health, solicits Exploratory/Developmental Research Grants (R21s) that propose to determine the significance of tolerance to alcohol induced responses and the risk for alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence. -Mechanism of Support.
