BJA FY 21 Internet of Things National Training and Technical Assistance Program: The Department of Justice is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights, increases access to justice, supports crime victims, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. These crimes are committed using networked computers, handheld devices, and internet technology; some examples include various kinds of theft (financial, identify, etc.), cyber stalking, hijacking accounts on social networking websites, infrastructure intrusions, and hacking (i.e., reconfiguring or reprogramming a system to function in ways not approved by the owner, administrator, or designer).
