BLM NV Smith Valley Hazardous Fuels Reduction Program: Enhancing the wildland fire protection and defensible space in the wildland urban interface (WUI) areas of Lyon County, Nevada is under the jurisdiction of Smith Valley Fire Protection District. This project is to aid in the removal of vegetative biomass thereby lowering the threat of wildfire in the wildland interface areas adjacent to public lands.
