Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (bil) - San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund, Fiscal Year 2023: The EPA is soliciting applications under the BIL funded SFBWQIF Request for Applications (RFA) to fund projects that have measurable positive impacts in underserved communities, particularly those facing climate change stressors in the San Francisco Bay and its watersheds. These and other funding priorities, as described in Section I.B., are collectively aimed to improve the health of San Francisco Bay and its underserved communities. A broad range of entities, as described in Section III.A., are eligible to submit applications under this announcement for projects within the nine Bay Area counties (Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco.) Applications must fully describe the scope of the project, budget, and environmental results. EPA will use the criteria described in Section V. to evaluate eligible applications. The total amount of fiscal year 2023 funds to be awarded under this announcement is approximately $5 million and awards will range from approximately $200,000 to $1,000,000. Awards will be made under Section 320 of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. § 1330; however, there is no match requirement under the BIL funded SFBWQIF.
