Career Discovery Internship Program: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a five(5) year cooperative agreement to Student Conservation Association under authority of CFDA 15.6576 Youth Engagement,Education,and Employment Programs.
The program is designed to introduce culuturally and ethically diverse college freshmen and sophmores to USFWS intern program. The Service will work closely with the Student Conservation Association to promote and implement an influx of culturally and ethically diverse employees in Service applicant pools and within the Service ranks. The Service will also oversee, review, and approve the Recipient's progress toward completion of its interns duties under the cooopeative agreement award. Period of performance is from May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505DM2, paragraph 2.14 (B) (2) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
