Conservation of Amazonian Languages to Help Protect Peruvian Intangible Cultural Heritage: PAS Lima invites all eligible organizationsand individuals to submit proposals for a program to support the preservationof traditional languages from the Amazon region in support of Peruvianintangible cultural heritage. Projects selected should focus on theconservation of any traditional Amazonian language spoken in Peru. The projects selected must leverage theconservation of Peruvian intangible cultural heritage to empower localcommunities through sustainable tourism and economic development. The grantee will be responsible for informingthe Embassy's Office of Public Affairs of the development of the program aswell as important dates related to the dissemination of the program. Thedetailed budget should include all steps of the project including a finalceremony to announce the number of languages conserved and a sustainability andmonitoring plan, explaining what will be done to promote the use of thislanguage in the respective community and the number of people will have accessto this information. Based on funding availability, PAS Lima intends toissue one or more awards for a period of 2 to 24 months.
