Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Rocky Mountain CESU: U.S. Geological Survey¿s (USGS) Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center (NoROCK) is offering a funding opportunity to participate in the first phase of a climate assessment of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). The focus of the first phase of the assessment will be on climate and water resources to provide the foundation for subsequent phases of a full assessment. The assessment process is built upon multiple interactions and collaborations with agencies, universities, and a wide range of public and private stakeholders. The duration of work on the first phase will be 12-18 months and the expected products will include a publicly available final document, data sets, an assessment website, possibly followed subsequently with scientific journal publications that are jointly authored by USGS, CESU scientists, and partnering management agencies.
