Developing Women s Career Skills Program: The U.S. Embassy Kabul Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce funding is available for business proposals that will support programs to develop key career skills for women and help them find employment. This grant will fund programs designed to train women in critical skills needed to become more competitive in the job market. Potential activities include, but are not limited to: resume-writing, resume-building, networking, interviewing for jobs, negotiating salaries and scope of work, advancing in the workplace, and other skills- and confidence-building activities. Funds may be used to set up career counseling centers at universities and other locations accessible to women and to create professional development programs for women within existing companies or other organizations as appropriate.

- The U.S. Embassy Kabul Public Affairs Section encourages applications from all sectors: committed and organized civil-society organizations, private sector companies, local representatives of civil society, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and individuals. U.S. NGOs may apply but preference is given to local NGOs or to partnerships that develop capacity with Afghan NGOs or employees and include plans to transfer programs to sustainable local management.
