DoD Peer Reviewed Orthopaedic Research Program Clinical Trial Award: This award is intended to support the rapid implementation of clinical trials with the potential to have a significant impact on the acute care of military combat-relevant orthopaedic injuries. The clinical trials may be designed to evaluate promising new products, pharmacologic agents (drugs or biologics), devices, clinical guidance, and/or emerging approaches and technologies. All applications must specifically and clearly address the military relevance of the proposed research. Collaboration with military researchers and clinicians is encouraged; however, the use of military or veteran populations is not a prerequisite. Applications recruiting civilian populations as an alternative are strongly recommended.
