FY 2013 Multistate Conservation Grant Program: The Multistate Conservation Grant Program may have up to $6,000,000 available each year for the purpose of funding multistate conservation project grants. The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-Division of Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration cooperatively administer the program. The Service ultimately awards and manages the grants; however, the Association administers the grant application process, provides oversight, coordination and guidance. The mission of the Multistate Conservation Grant Program is to strengthen the ability of State and Territorial fish and wildlife agencies to meet effectively the consumptive needs and non-consumptive needs of the public for fish and wildlife resources.
