FY 2014 Renewable Energy Program: The Office of Renewable Energy Program of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is offering a cooperative agreement opportunity to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Mines Minerals and Energy. The OREP oversees leasing for renewable energy projects on the Nations outer continental shelf and conducts reviews of site assessment and construction and operations plans.This Program Announcement describes two specific projects that may be awarded to the Commonwealth of Virginia, premised on receipt of an acceptable proposal. This is not an open solicitation for proposals. BOEM anticipates making up to two cooperative agreement awards in Fiscal Year 2014 submitted under this program announcement. This announcement is specifically to announce intent to undertake the following projects: 1.Fisheries Collaborative Spatial Planning of Offshore WEA Development 2.Virginia Ocean Geophysical Survey Phase II Analyses. No other proposals are requested at this time, although additional opportunities may be announced in the future. This requires substantial involvement by BOEM scientists in various aspects of study development and/or study conduct.
