Grazing Lands Technical Assistance: The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary conservation program that promotes agricultural production and environmental quality. Through EQIP, farmers and ranchers may receive financial and technical assistance to install or implement structural or management practices on eligible agricultural land. The NRCS is requesting proposals of technical services from qualified individuals and organizations to provide technical assistance in grazing lands conservation practices to landowerns in Wyoming. Applicants will provide technical design assistance for prescribed grazing system plans through EQIP. The applicant will: * meet with private landowners to document existing grazing systems and determine needed management and structural practices, * Design Prescribed Grazing (528) practices contained in EQIP contracts by conducting grazing land resource inventories including ecological sites, forage productivity, condition, trend, pasture sizes, existing fences and water developments, livestock and wildlife forage needs, and * Develop EQIP contract support documents including maps, either electronic or hard copy. The assistance being sought through this request relies on guidance contained in the Technical Service Provider Interim Final Rule. Applicants whose proposals are recommended for funding must agree to be bound by the Technical Service Provider Assistance rules in 7 CFR 652.
