Habitat Assessment in Blocked Area: The proposed project is part of a collaborative project that was submitted by The Spokane Tribe of Indians to the Northwest Power and Conservation Council (NPCC) through a Call for Proposals. The proposal included regional co-managers (Spokane Tribe of Indians, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Indians, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife) along with technical support from the U.S. Geological Survey Columbia River Research Laboratory (USGS) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries. That proposal has been reviewed by the Independent Science Review Panel as part of the NPCC process. BPA is the funding agency for the NPCC Fish and Wildlife Program and has agreed to provide $100,000 to support the proposal. Cost-sharing by the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation is expected in the form of reprogrammed Fish Accords funds. Reclamation is proposing to fund $50,000 of the proposal.
